The Newcastle Mission to Seafarers is celebrating 150 years of connecting communities, port and people.
It recently hosted a Newcastle Mission to Seafarers Maritime Art Prize 2023 to showcase Newcastle's interaction with the maritime industry, highlight the importance of the Port of Newcastle to the city, and raise awareness of the role of the Mission to Seafarers.
The exhibition included six categories, supporting eight awards. Artist Lee-Anne Corrigan claimed the $5,000 Best in Show prize for her work 'Shoreline to Horizon', while Priya Joy took out the People's Choice for 'Looking Ahead'.
