Robert Tompsett
Director, Community Aged Care and Allied Health
Robert is a healthcare executive and non-executive director with extensive experience across aged care, home care, community services and public health.
He has led large-scale operational, governance and transformation initiatives, supporting organisations to improve performance, strengthen compliance, manage risk and deliver sustainable growth in complex regulatory environments.
Robert has held senior leadership roles with UPA of NSW, Uniting NSW.ACT, Northern Sydney Local Health District and Tallwoods Corner Aged Care.
His expertise includes organisational transformation, clinical governance, enterprise risk management, digital systems implementation and service model redesign.
He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Policy, Risk & Reform Committee for Hornsby Ku-ring-gai & Central Coast Community Transport.
Robert holds a Master of Health Management, a Graduate Certificate in Aged Care Management and is recognised for translating strategy and reform into practical operational outcomes.
Shaun Naidoo
Director, Youth and Young Adult Wellbeing
Shaun was born in South Africa, where he experienced poverty, domestic violence, separation, juvenile delinquency and barriers that the Apartheid system imposed.
He chose firm action over affirmative action as a member of the South African Police Service.
After 15 years of service, he is grateful to be alive and humbled by a sound professional reputation as crowning achievements in serving the community, achieving the rank of Detective Inspector and receiving commendations from the National Commissioner.
Shaun relocated to Australia with his wife and two daughters in 2004. He started a new career path as a Youth Worker in a homelessness refuge in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
At the time, he was inspired by the biblical verse; “Faith without works is dead” (James 2:17) and “Be the change you wish to see in the world” (Gandhi).
He became Program Manager and, after three years, moved to an intensive residential care provider in greater Western Sydney for young people with high and complex needs.
He served as Residential Manager, Project Manager and Executive Manager (Acting) for the following eight years before pivoting to early intervention services, disability services and Foster Care with another agency, as Regional Manager and General Manager.
Shaun has worked in the sector for over 20 years and is privileged to have completed the Cert. 1V in Community Services, Diploma in Administration, Bachelor of Arts, and Master of Management.
He is grateful for the opportunity to continue learning and developing, motivated by passionate and committed practitioners and leaders.
Shaun is excited to be joining Samaritans Foundation as Director Youth and Young Adult Wellbeing, acknowledging the values of compassion, integrity, justice, faith, courage and wisdom align with his personal convictions.
