**Christian Carroll – Safeguarding Practice Lead**

With a background as a NSW Police Detective, Christian brings extensive investigative experience to the role of Safeguarding Practice Lead.![Christian Carroll](https://blog.newcastleanglican.org.au/hs-fs/hubfs/Christian%20Carroll.jpg?width=189&height=252&name=Christian%20Carroll.jpg)

He has spent the past six years working as a senior investigator across the NDIS and child protection sectors and, most recently, operated his own business conducting factual workplace investigations.

Christian is passionate about child safety and creating environments where children, vulnerable people and staff feel safe, respected, and supported.

He is committed to strengthening safeguarding practice, supporting staff and fostering a culture where concerns are heard and everyone plays a role in keeping others safe.

Outside of work, Christian enjoys keeping fit and anything involving motorcycles.

**Jake Anderson – Financial Accountant![Jake Anderson](https://blog.newcastleanglican.org.au/hs-fs/hubfs/Jake%20Anderson.png?width=180&height=270&name=Jake%20Anderson.png)**

Jake joins the team as a Financial Accountant and brings almost five years of Finance and Accounting experience in the aged care sector.

Outside of work, Jake enjoys getting outdoors for walks, heading to the beach and exploring local eateries.

He’s recently made the move from Queensland to Newcastle, so he is still adjusting to the colder climate!

Jake is looking forward to getting to know everyone and being part of the team.

**Rolaren Allison – Social Worker![Rolaren Allison](https://blog.newcastleanglican.org.au/hs-fs/hubfs/Rolaren%20Allison.jpeg?width=203&height=270&name=Rolaren%20Allison.jpeg)**

Rolaren brings three years of experience to her role as a social worker, having worked across mild to moderate and acute mental health services.

She has a particular interest in the impacts of intergenerational trauma.

Joining us from Far West NSW, Rolaren is loving the sea change – although she occasionally misses the outback’s wildflowers and sunsets.

On weekends, you will find her learning to surf, building Lego sets, reading fantasy romance novels or spending time outdoors.
