Hi I’m Deni!

I began working at Anglican Care in November 2024 in the Registered Nurse casual pool. Previous to this I had been working as a General Practice Registered Nurse for nearly 8 years where I spent a lot of time looking after elderly people in the community, providing assessments and engaging them with support services to remain at home for as long as possible.

I successfully completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Health in 2024 which allowed me to further my knowledge and practice in health and aged care. Not long after completing, I saw advertisements for Anglican Care and wanted to further my skills and apply my knowledge by transitioning to Aged Care.

My interview and onboarding experience were wonderful. Kristy was so lovely and welcoming which made the experience less anxiety inducing. It was very clear from the interview process what the expectations were for the position and that Anglican Care are looking for the best qualities in their employees.

Soon after commencing, I accepted a permanent position at Jesmond Grove in early 2025 where I was able to apply my skills and gain confidence as an Aged Care Registered Nurse. The supportive environment at Jesmond Grove really allowed me to feel like I had found my place in my career and a family in my team.

I had the opportunity to apply for the Clinical Care Coordinator role where I transferred to McIntosh Court in February 2026, where I continue to develop my skills as a Clinical Lead. I have felt so supported and encouraged by both my managers to take this opportunity to further my career.

I have always believed that no matter where you are in your career or experience, there is always more to learn so I am thankful for this opportunity to learn and grow every day.
