Encouraging our people to flourish
Hi, I’m Deni.
I started working at Anglican Care in November 2024 in the Registered Nurse casual pool.
I previously worked as a General Practice Registered Nurse for nearly eight years where I spent a lot of time looking after elderly people in the community, providing assessments and engaging them with support services to remain at home for as long as possible.
I completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Health in 2024 which allowed me to further my knowledge and practice in health and aged care.
Not long after completing it, I saw advertisements for Anglican Care and wanted to further my skills and apply my knowledge by transitioning to aged care.
In early 2025, I accepted a permanent position at Jesmond Grove where I was able to apply my skills and gain confidence as an Aged Care Registered Nurse.
The supportive environment at Jesmond Grove really allowed me to feel like I had found my place in my career and a family in my team.
I eventually had the opportunity to apply for the Clinical Care Coordinator role. I transferred to McIntosh Court in February 2026 and continued to develop my skills as a Clinical Lead.
I have felt so supported and encouraged by both my managers to take this opportunity to further my career.
I have always believed that no matter where you are in your career or experience, there is always more to learn.
So, I am thankful for this opportunity to learn and grow every day.
